I asked 10 participants mainly in the age group of 16-24 to fill in the questionnaire which has now fully determined which ideas i am definatly going to do for my music magazine. I asked mainly females to fill out the questionnaire however i did ask a few males as i still want the magazine to be read by males although my main target audience is still going to be for females in the age group of 16-24. The main music genres that people most likes were "indie" and "indie-pop" therefore i am going to carry on with my initial idea of basing the magazine on "indie-pop". The name that was the most popular was "Breakout" with half of the participants chosing this title. This name suits this type of magazine as it is showing artists "breaking" into the music industry. From the question refering to would they like to know about up and coming bands 70% said they would, this shows that my idea for basing the magazine on new bands is ideal amongst young adults therefore i will carry on with this idea in the final piece. 60% also said that they would more than likely buy a new magazine that features up and coming artists which shows that again this new magazine is an ideal type for the market and will sell well amongst the target audience. Finally 70% of the participants said that they listen to music everyday meaning that they will be aware of new bands, my magazine will further their awareness of these artists before they breakout into the music industry.
