Final Research- IPC

When publishing and distributing a magazine, they need to be supported by a media institution, like many independent films they only become successful if they have the right distribution. IPC is the UK's leading consumer magazine publisher, with over 85 media brands that they publish for they won me over for publishing my magazine. One of the magazines they publish is NME which is an indie-rock magazine therefore a similar genre, this also shows that they are successful as NME is a large magazine in terms of audience and sells well. I have chosen IPC over other institutions including EMAP as they produce more indie style magazines compared to EMAP whom work with magazines such as kerrang, a rock magazine. With IPC i feel like il be able to target the audience of NME or specifically any female audiences of NME and attract them to my magazine.
