Woops!! i forgot to analyse a contents page when analysing the cover and feature article, hurary for the check list so here it is.This page fits the criteria that contents pages should be bright and colourful, red and yellow have been used to make the cover stand out, the colours contrast the white background which enhances the colours more making them more eye-catching. We can tell that this magazine is most likely to be aimed at males as the colour scheme of black, white, red and yellow give a masculine feel the the page.
A dominating image has been used to correspond to the leading caption, as Oasis were a well known band a lot of people viewing the magazine will automatically recognise them and would want to read teh article to see what has to be said about them. Direct address however hasn't been used in this case which may not encourage the reader to read further on as some readers may have to look closely at the image or read the caption in order to see what the article is about. The title of the magazine and the header is at the top of the page, printed in large texts which dominates the top of the magzine which will catch the readers attention as they flicker through the pages. Black has again been used in the header as part of the colour palette and also the black contrasts against the white background enhacing the header. A list of contents can be seen down the right hand side of the page under subheadings, this allows the reader to graze through the headings and find a topic which will interest them. Again the subheadings have been printed in white text on a black background as they contrast each other making the text stand out which will attract the readers attention.
